This approach, combined with his determination to develop research methods that gain a deep understanding of every project through interactions with partners and stakeholders, aims to create a resilient and sustainable architecture. His thesis on Food Waste in Westminster, "Wasteminster", has developed into a strong marker of our keen interest in how people relate to waste, how cities respond to waste and most of all, how design plays a role in redefining the waste industry.
Aleksandar, co-founder and director of Studio 8FOLD is South African born, residing in London since 2012. Aleksandar’s time at his previous employer, Grimshaw Architects, developed his interest in applying large-scale structural thinking to neighbourhood-scale developments, an interest which has grown and developed as a result of an architectural education begun in South Africa and continued in London.
